Animal Jam Safety Tips

Greetings Jammers, As many of the long time Jammers may know there was a virus, known by many as the Fman122 virus, spreading around Animal Jam like a wild fire about a year ago.
Thankfully since then Animal Jam HQ has disposed of it! But that doesn't mean another
virus, as well as hackers and scammers, couldn't find their way into the Animal Jam
community.. So I figured I would give you some tips on how to always stay safe
on Animal Jam! So here you guys go!

Avoiding a Virus

Never open gifts from people you don't know!
- This right here was how you got the Fman122 virus! She would send you a jam-a-gram with a gift, you open it and bam! Your account goes crazy! So there for unexpected gifts from random people are  sometimes a big no no!

Never Click links that looks suspicious!
-Now this one doesn't really have to do with Animal Jam specificly, however, it's a good thing to keep in mind. If you get an email from someone you don't know and they tell you to click the links, I wouldn't.. This is a very common way that people get viruses on their computers. Just don't click fishy links...

Do your best to stay away from pop ups!
-Again, this isn't necessarily for Animal Jam but it's another good way to stay away from viruses. Pop ups are another big spreader of viruses. Pop ups like the ones you see that say you have won something because your the "1 millionth visitor" most likely you haven't won something and your probably way past being the 1 millionth visitor.

Avoiding a Hacker

Never give out your account information!
-This is the biggest thing when it comes to avoiding a hacker. You never and I mean never give your Username and password to someone, besides maybe your parents but that is different. Either way this is a big no no!

Never put your information in for a random "Survey"
-This can cause someone to hack an account as well. Most likely for you guys you would see this when you playing a game of some sort and you want to earn more coins or something for free. So you fill out a forum or survey to get the coins, sure you may get the coins but you may also get an account hacked. This one is more of a judgement call then just a don't do because some of those surveys may actually be legit, give you coins and not hack you. So just keep this in mind when it comes to those things and be smart about where your putting your information!

Avoiding a Scammer/Thief

Never let anyone borrow your items!
- I have seen this happen to many times... You let your buddy "borrow" an item and poof! They vanish like the stuffing on Thanksgiving! So I would advise to never let anyone borrow an item. The only exception that could be made to this rule is if you know the person in real life... But even then people can disappear with items. Just don't let people take items... Its not a good scenerio all around.

Never Jam-a-gram trade with anyone!
-This one is less rare now that AJ has put in the trading system but I do still see this happen from time to time. Someone says they will send you an item if you send them an item, even if you REALLY want that item don't do it! They are most likely trying to scam you. Just use the actual trading system to keep you safe!

So there you guys go! Some tips on how to stay safe not only on Animal Jam but
just on the internet in general! Because the internet can be a scary place sometimes..
I hope these tips help you guys out! If you have any tips that you think I should add
to this list please leave a comment below telling me about it! :)
Stay Safe Jammers!
